Description
Zone refined Germanium ingot is typically produced by upgrading germanium dioxide (GeO2) through an zone refining process. It involves passing the feedstock through a hot space, which produces a high purity molten metal. Impurities collect in the molten material and are pushed back as the germanium ingot solidifies on leaving the hot space.
