Germanium Suppliers Confidence is Not Good Price Goes Down

The domestic germanium market inquiries and purchases are relatively cold while the confidence of market participants, germanium suppliers included has weakened significantly, so the price has a rapid downward trend.

A number of zinc smelters have invited bids to sell germanium containing materials, and the delivery price has been significantly reduced from October to November, and the difficulty of selling has increased significantly since December.

After germanium suppliers earn stable processing fees, they are sold below quotation in the mainstream market. On the one hand, the downstream procurement intention is not strong, and the overall market activity is not high near the end of the year. On the other hand, germanium suppliers are more willing to choose to liquidate as soon as possible, withdraw funds, and increase the willingness to sell at a low price based on the uncertainty of the future price trend.

Most of the purchasers this week are trading company, and downstream consumer users purchase less, mostly wait-and-see this week.

If end users still do not enter the market next week, market confidence might be further weaken, it would be more likely that germanium prices continue to decline.
